NEW 30% Federal Tax Credits for
Solar Systems Plus Lots More

On October 3, 2008, President Bush signed the “Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008” into law, extending tax credits for energy efficient home improvements (windows, doors, roofs, insulation, HVAC and much more.) New tax credits were established for small wind energy systems, plug-in hybrids and all electric vehicles. Credits are now available for insulation, HVAC, water heaters, biomass stoves, small wind energy systems, fuel cells, high efficiency windows and doors and much more.  Perhaps the most exciting item is a federal tax credit of 30% of the cost of an entire solar heating system, with no limit on the total deduction.
