Credentials & Training

Dr. Bazzan graduated from medical school in Padua, Italy, and is the Director of the Functional & Wellness Sciences Institute, PC, where he directs all personnel, proramming and education. He is residency, fellowship trained and board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He holds licenses from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and West Virginia. He is on the medical staff at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital at the Jefferson Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine and on the faculty at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He has held positions including the Emergency Department medical staff of Frankford Hospital, consulting internal medicine and geriatrics physician at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center (affiliated with Temple University), and at Friends Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

His previous faculty appointments included the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the University of West Virginia School of Medicine and Hampshire Memorial Hospital in West Virginia where he was chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Medical Staff treasurer. Dr. Bazzan is also recipient of the 1999 "Tree of Life Award" given for outstanding service to the community. His training also includes Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery, Emergency Medicine along with time spent doing basic vascular research with emphasis on blood lipids.

His practice of meditation spurred an interest in Oriental Medicine and thinking which has led him over the years to an understanding of health and related issues broader than the conventional medical model. Areas such as Functional Medicine, Mind-Body Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, the relationship between Spirituality and Biology, Physics and Medicine.

Psychoneuroimmunology, Meditation, Clinical Biochemistry and Applied Nutrition, Detoxification, Bio-Oxidative Medicine, Chelation and Intravenous Therapies, Natural Hormone Replacement, Integrative Cancer Care, Predictive Genetic Testing, have become a part of his life and practice and are the basis for the creation of an Integrative Medicine Office such as the Functional and Wellness Sciences Institute.

Availability

Our office is open Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-5:00PM Office visits with Dr. Bazzan: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00AM to 4PM Office hours for IV therapies: Monday, Wednesday 9:15AM--5:00PM, Thursday 7:30AM to 5:00PM. Open Phone Hour: 610-630-8600 Monday-Wednesday 8:00AM to 8:45AM

Payment Details

Unfortunately, insurance doesn't cover most of the services provided in our office. For this reason we do not participate with any insurances. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept VISA, MC, personal check and cash.

We will provide coded invoices for office visit charges for you to submit to your insurance.

We have "opted out" of Medicare. This means services provided IN OUR OFFICE may not be submitted to Medicare.
