Silver Lake Nature Center, through education, recreation, research and advocacy, creates opportunities for the natural habitats of Silver Lake to inspire students of all ages and abilities with the wonder and beauty of this living treasure.  

Silver Lake Nature Center... A Sanctuary 

We are located in a geologically unique sliver of Pennsylvania called the Coastal Plain. SLNC is a 235-acre sanctuary in a 468-acre park, providing a secure place for over 20 species of PA rare plants and animals such as the Coastal Plain Leopard Frog and the Red-bellied Turtle. Ask for more details on our 4.5 miles of trails plus our flora and fauna. SLNC offers a variety of school, scouting, and kayaking programs, as well as a great place to have a birthday party!
